James E. Dode

DODE, James E. -- Age 60, of Linden, died Saturday, July 19, 2003 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden, Dr. Max Hayden officiating. Burial will be in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-9 PM Monday and Tuesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association or American Lung Association. James was born December 29, 1942 in Flint, the son of Harold and Millie Dode. He was a 1961 graduate of Fenton High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. Mr. Dode married Nancy Mitchell on April 27, 1974. He had lived in Linden since 1972. Mr. Dode retired from Fenton Concrete with over 30 years of service and was a member of UAW Teamsters Local 322. Surviving are: wife, Nancy; three sons, Jim Atwell, Bob and wife Sandy Atwell, Mike and wife Rachel Dode; four grandchildren, Justin, Jeremy, Alyssa and Zachary; brothers, Gary and wife Sandy Dode, Bud and wife Ilene Dode; nine cousins; several nieces and nephews; many special friends.
