DICKINSON, James Douglas - Age 55, of Gaines, died Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Hospice House of Mid Michigan, Lansing. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Swartz Creek Church of the Nazarene, 7168 Morrish Road, Swartz Creek, with Pastor Lawrence Gill officiating. Those desiring may make contributions to Hospice House of Mid Michigan, 1210 W. Saginaw Hwy, Lansing, MI 48915, Swartz Creek Church of the Nazarene, Building Fund or Ele's Place, 1145 W. Oakland Ave. Lansing, MI 48915. James was born April 13, 1955 in Flint, the son of Douglas James and Sharon Louise (Hurd) Dickinson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Carrie Lynn Robleski December 8, 1979 in Hastings. James was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all spending time at his cabin in the U.P. in Curtis. Surviving are: wife, Carrie Lynn; 2 sons, Christopher Dickinson and Chasity and their unborn child of Gaines and Nathan Dickinson of Lansing; mother, Sharon Dickinson of Flint; step-mother, Barbara Dickinson of Flint; 3 brothers, Robert Dickinson of Flint, Brian and wife Vivian Dickinson of Durand and Greg LaMay of Flint; 4 sisters, Sharlene and husband Gary Thrall of Holly, Kay Dickinson of Flint, Nancy Dickinson of Flint and Lynn and husband Mike Ashley of Sanford; father-in-law, Richard Robleski of Hastings; 3 sisters-in-law, Cathy and husband Dave Armour, Christine and husband Scott BeBeau and Jennifer Manni all of Hastings; brother-in-law, Dennis and wife Eileen Robleski of Chicago, IL; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Tom, Jeannie, Danny, Rick, T.J., Kevin, Stan and Donita; many other friends.
