James Denison

DENISON, James H. - Age 76, of Fenton, died August 19, 2014. Services will be held 11 AM Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church, 10235 White Lake Rd., Fenton. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel. 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton and from 10 AM until the time of service Saturday at church. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Grace Presbyterian Church in McAllen, TX. James was born October 11, 1937 in Lake City, AR, the son of Floyd and Dicie (Bell) Denison. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis. James was an Elder at Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church and was an avid sportsman. James retired from XL Tool & Manufacturing. Surviving are: wife, Betty (Stewart) Denison; son, Roger Dale Denison of Durand; daughters, Jami (Matt) Eckman of Hartland, Annette (Jeremy) Hutson of Fenton; grandchildren, Hannah and Pvt. Isaac Eckman, Dale James (Jamie) Denison, Amber (Neil) Sutton, Emily Denison, Faith and Sophia Hutson; sisters, Margie Price of Fairmont City, IL, Pam Martz of Salem, AR; brothers, Cleo (Ivaleen) Denison of Lynn, AR, Melvin (Mary) Denison of Lynn, AR, David (Clara) Denison of Powhatan, AR, Bill (Wanda) Denison of Walnut Ridge, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lanna Susan Denison; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Petriches Denison; brothers, Sanford, Edd and Jerry Wayne Denison; sister, Elizabeth Adams.
