DAILY, James Ralph  Age 74, of Flint, died Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at Riverbend. Services will be held 11 AM Friday, June 25, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. (just south of Hill Rd.). Interment will be held at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Wednesday and Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Genesee County Humane Society. Mr. Daily was born July 5, 1929 in Flint, the son of Ralph and Earline (King) Daily. He married Dolores VanOrder on June 3, 1950 in Flint. Mr. Daily was a 1947 graduate of Flint Central High School where he played trumpet in the Marching Band. He was a long time member of the Flint Concert Band. Trumpet playing was his passion. Mr. Daily retired from Chevrolet Manufacturing after over 30 years of service in Accounting and Personnel. He was a long time member of several Polio Support Groups. He was a supportive husband and integral part of his daughters interests and activities, which lead to being very active with his grandchildrens musical and sporting activities. He was also a very integral part of their lives. Surviving are: loving wife of 54 years, Dolores; three daughters, Debbie Rice, Sue and husband, Tim Hinkle, all of Flint; Barb Huffman of Swartz Creek; six grandchildren, Jeff and Katie Rice, Nathan Hawtin, Sean Hinkle, Sarah and Eric Huffman; brother, John and wife, Kathy Daily of Shelby Twp.; niece, Denise and husband, Jeff Malinowski; nephew, Matt and wife, Roni Daily; other family members include Dawn and husband, Scott Campbell, Tim and wife, Cheri Hinkle.
