COSTELLO, James Michael "Big Mike" - Age 78, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, July 8, 2018. Services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc Township. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to Hospice House of Shiawassee County, 2005 Copas Road, Owosso, MI 48867. Mike was born May 10, 1940 in Flint, the son of Roy and Nancy (McCollum) Costello. He married Sandra Shay on March 26, 1960 in Saginaw and she preceded him in death December 9, 2014. He retried from the Operating Engineers Local #324 as a heavy equipment operator. Surviving are: his children, Michelle Costello of Lennon, Michael and wife Angela Costello of Bancroft, and Tonya and husband Kenneth Voakes of Grand Rapids; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry and wife Julie Costello of Birch Run, Phil Costello of Columbiaville, Chuck and wife Sharon Costello of Sheilds, and Bill and wife Madeline Costello of Arizona; sisters, Carol and husband Doug Spaulding of Linden and Geneva Rivard of Swartz Creek; and several nieces and nephews.
