CONROY, James E. -- Age 71, of Swartz Creek, died Sunday, April 29, 2007 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Thursday, May 3 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Rev. James Lougheed and Rev. Glen Tatterson officiating. Interment in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-9 PM Wednesday. Mr. Conroy was born May 23, 1935 in Gaines, the son of Leo and Dorothy(Cooney) Conroy. He was married to Delores McBride August 17, 1957. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from G.M., V-8 Engine in 1997. Mr. Conroy enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, and spending time with his family and friends. Surviving are: his wife, Delores; four children, John and wife Kay of Davison, Dale of Bay City, Glenda Higgins of Saginaw, Leanna and husband Brad Case of Gaines; eight grandchildren, Jason, Jared, Jamie, Amy, Eric, Josh, Brandon, and Mike; two great-grandchildren, Sidney and Janus; mother, Dorothy Conroy; sister, Loretta Bradley; brothers, Bob and wife Nola, Dennis and wife Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
