James Campbell, Jr.

CAMPBELL, James Joseph, Jr. - age 86, of Parshallville, died Wednesday, May 9, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Monday May 14, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Interment will follow in Hartland Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Sunday; and 10-11 AM Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the Disabled American Veterans. James was born October 13, 1931 in Detroit, the son of James Joseph, Sr. and Margaret (McEachern) Campbell. He married Lois Mae Strehlau on July 5, 1951 in Detroit. They lived in Parshallville for 51 years, coming from St. Claire Shores. James was a Journeyman Plumber for Local 98 Detroit. He was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed woodworking. Surviving are: his beloved wife of 66 years, Lois; 4 children, Michael Campbell of Fife Lake, MI, Douglas (Sandra) Campbell of Linden, Scott (Carrie) Campbell of Fenton, Wesley (Marybeth) of Parshallville; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Elaine) Campbell of Birmingham; sister, Mary McCrackin of Grosse Pointe; and several nieces and nephews.
