James Burk

BURK, James Edward - Age 53, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, October 22, 2020.  A service to celebrate Jim's life will be held in August, 2021.  Those desiring may make contributions to the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, 7400 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, MI 48473.

Jim was born January 13, 1967 in Flint, the son of Lary James and Patricia Elizabeth (Spillane) Burk.  He was a 1986 graduate of Swartz Creek High School.  He owned and operated a lawn mowing and cleaning service.  He attended Swartz Creek United Methodist Church.  Jim enjoyed hunting, camp fires, and most of all going to the Red Cabin on the Rifle River in Selkirk, MI.

Surviving are: his mother, Patricia Burk of Swartz Creek; sister, Christina and James Sharp of Kalamazoo; nephew, JC Sharp of Grand Rapids; niece, Sarah Sharp of Grand Rapids; aunts and uncles, Pam and Bill Vredevoogd of Swartz Creek and Lynn and Randy Sturgess of Swartz Creek; cousins, Mary Kathryn and Ryan Turner and their children, Grace and Sophie of Grand Blanc, Brad and Sarah Vredevoogd and their children, Hadley and Harper of Holland, and Brian and Debbie Sturgess of Linden; and the Duane Dickey family.
