James Stanley BROWN

BROWN, James Stanley, age 76, of Mundy Township, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Pastor Eric Stewart officiating. Interment Will follow at Tyrone Hills Memorial Gardens following the service. Visitation will be held 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to Berean Baptist Church Missionary Fund. Mr. Brown was born May 6, 1936 in Celina, Ohio the son of the late William S. and Gladys Brown. In 1957 he married Sandra J. Brown in Indiana, she preceded him in death December 2, 2004. James along with his wife owned and operated Handy Hardware (Fenton Lawn Hardware) for over 35 years. He worked for G.M. as an electrician for 10 years. James was a member of Berean Baptist Church and enjoyed the book of Romans, working outdoors and his favorite dog Lady-Bird. Surviving are children; Kim S. and wife Teresa Brown, Kurt A. and wife Twila Brown, Kandice K. and husband Gordon Andrews; 4 grandchildren, Ashley and husband Joel Salvo, Randi, Sydney, Taylor Brown and sister; Ginger Byes.
