BRANNON, James Everett - Age 90, of Flint Twp., died Tuesday, September 12, 2017. A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Florida Hurricane Relief Fund. James was born March 30, 1927 in Campbell, MO, the son of Russell and Vallie (Smith) Brannon. He married Mary Adaline Howe on February 4, 1945 in Flint. James retired as a Customer Service Rep. for Consumers Power Co. in 1984. He was very active in the Utility Workers Union Local #119. James was a member of the Swartz Creek Masonic Lodge #458. He also was active in Boy Scout Troop #56 and served on the Flint Twp. Civil Service Commission for 22 plus years. James was a talented artist and wood worker who displayed his wood carvings in galleries throughout Florida. Surviving are: wife, Mary Adeline; son Terry (Diana) Brannon; grandchildren, Matthew (Marny) Brannon, and Kristina Brannon; step-grandchild, Dylan Krupp; great-grandson, Brayden Connelly; brothers, Russell "Poke" Brannon, Eugene (Ann) Brannon, Rev. Doyle (Darlene) Brannon, and Marvin (Sharon) Brannon; sister-in-law, Elaine (Carl) Bordner; brother-in-law, Ronald (Judy) Howe; and many nieces and nephews.
