James Bollella

BOLLELLA, James Louis - Age 77, of Fenton, died Saturday, December 22, 2018. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Heeney Sundquist Funeral Home, 23720 Farmington Road, Farmington. Ms. Gina Bollella officiating. Burial in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield. Visitation will be held at Heeney Sundquist Funeral Home Wednesday from 1-8 PM and Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Salvation Army or the Detroit Goodfellows. Jim was born June 21, 1941 in Detroit, the son of Carmine and Maria (Varone) Bollella. He graduated from Cody High School in Detroit. He married Joanne Lopetrone June 16, 1962 in Detroit. He retired in 1998 from the Fenton Public Schools after 25 years of service. Jim had resided in the Fenton area since 1972 coming from Detroit. He enjoyed classic cars, woodworking, fishing, building and fixing things, and watching classic movies. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joanne; son, James (Aaron) Bollella of Mt. Pleasant; daughter, Justine Bollella of Canton; brother, Antonio Bollella of Livonia; sisters-in-law, Donna and husband Tom Sidelko of Brighton and Samantha and husband Bob Woodruff of Pinckney; grandsons of the heart, Bobby and Nick Woodruff; and several nieces, nephews, and dear cousins out west. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Margaret and Christine Bollella; and brothers, Emilio and Larry Bollella. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton.
