BEAUCHAMP, James "Jim" Michael- Age 84, of Standish formerly of Flint, died Saturday December 12, 2020. A private family service will be held at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the charity of one's choice. James was born November 15, 1936 in Flint the son of Frank and Winifred (Griffin) Beauchamp. He married Charlotte Horkey in Flint on June 22, 1957. He owned and operated Jims Barber Shop in the Flint area for many years. Jim retired from General Motors AC Spark Plug with 22.5 years of service. Jim had three passions in life, his faith, family and U of M Football. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 695, Garland Street, Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Genesee County Barber Association, the Burton Eagles#3814, Dom Polski of Flint and he was the Chairman of the M go Blue Club. Jim had many nationalities, if you were Irish so was he. Italian, French, ect..., so was he. He was devoted in his beliefs and was the most generous person, always giving free haircuts to whomever needed it. Jim was a story teller, 92% of them were true. Some however at times were embellished a bit. He believed without God in our lives, life would be meaningless. Jim always told his children to take care of business. He wanted them to love God and to help those in need, also make sure to keep your doors open, because you never know when Jesus may come knocking. Surviving are: loving wife of 63 years, Charlotte (Horkey) Beauchamp of Standish; children, James Beauchamp of Flint, Rebecca Barbat of Flint, Susan (Ken) Reeves of Standish; grandchildren, Tony, Kenny, Niki, Keri, Rachel, Britney, Bryn, and Luke; great grandchildren, Kayla, Bowen, Charlotte, Max, Parker, and Mavrik. Jim is also survived by his brothers, Donald (Jonie) Beauchamp of Flushing, Larry (Kathy) Beauchamp of Grand Blanc; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Winifred; daughter, Michele Stafford; brother, John Beauchamp and sister, Judy Jubenville. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
