Jacob Frank Hromek

HROMEK, Jacob Frank  age 90, of Lennon, died Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at Durand Convalescent Center. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, 28, 2005 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Amos Wischmeyer celebrant. Interment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held from 2-5 and 7-9 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a rosary will be prayed at 7 PM. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Mary Catholic Church. Mr. Hromek was born April 11, 1915. Mr. Hromek married Lydia Agnes Staroba on September 3, 1937 in Angola, IN. He retired from General Motors in 1973 after 40 years of service and he was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Surviving are: wife, Lydia Agnes Hromek of Lennon; four children, Robert Hromek and wife, Mary of Durand, Shirley Henige of CA, Nancy and husband, Albert Chargo of Lennon, Larry Hromek of Lennon; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Kathryn Perry of Durand. Mr. Hromek was preceded in death by: his parents; two sisters, Ann Quick and Agnes Klabak; one brother, Chuck Hromek.
