Jack Blakemore

Blakemore, Jack Hartley - Age 87, of Swartz Creek, died October 7, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday October 12 at Sharp Funeral Home Miller Road Chapel, our temporary location at Hill Creek Church 5363 Hill Rd., Swartz Creek (Mundy Township). Don Frey officiating. Burial to follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Thursday; and 10 AM until the time of the service at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to Eastside Mission in Flint. Jack was born April 17, 1931 in Holcomb, MO, the second son of Pickens and Edith (Hartley) Blakemore. He married Margaret Jacqueline Lee on August 19, 1953 in Holcomb, MO. Jack served our country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Grand Trunk Railroad for 33 years retiring in 1991. Jack was a member of the Nazarene Church. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret Jacqueline; children, Stephen Lee (Marcia) Blakemore of Swartz Creek, Laurette (William) Case of Swartz Creek, James Pickens (Vicki) Blakemore of Burton, Jonathan Clyde (Tami) Blakemore of Davison; 11 grandchildren, Anthony (Amy) Blakemore, Jillian (Matt) Norwood, Amy (James) Golombeski, Stephen (Christine) Case, Jacqueline (Ryan) Beuthin, Nathan Blakemore, Emily (Joe) Munroe, Leah Blakemore, Kayla (Kenneth) Korpi, Parker Blakemore, Sadie Blakemore; many great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brother, John Blakemore, sisters, Carol Blakemore, Mary (Les) Beals, Judy (Dwayne) Cross; many nieces and nephews.
