J. Pauline Ripley - age 100, of Colorado Springs, CO, formerly of Linden, died January 26, 2012. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden with Pastor Margo Kivisto officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Monday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Linden United Methodist Church. Mrs. Ripley was born July 17, 1911 in Edmonton, KY, the daughter of John and Leona (DeVore )Coffey. She married Harold C. Ripley May 24, 1941 in Linden and he preceded her in death November 23, 2004. She was a member of Linden United Methodist Church. Surviving are: 2 daughters, Erma Jean and husband Dave Schroeder of Federal Way, WA and Geraldine and husband Tim Bombalski of Colorado Springs, CO; 4 grandchildren, Barbara Jean Nelsen of Moses Lake, WA, Steven Nelsen of Moses Lake, WA, Brenda Jean and husband Chuck Lentsch of Bellevue, NE and David Whitney of Bellevue, NE; 3 great-grandchildren, Ryan Lentsch, Hannah and Kaeden Vasquez; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Walter, Willie and Gordon Coffey; 2 sisters, Vera Pratt and Maymie Shockley.
