Ivan E. 'Ike' Amlotte

AMLOTTE, Ivan E. 'Ike'- Age 81, of Flint, died Tuesday September 12, 2006 at Brian's House, Davison.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, September 15, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.  Pastor Lawrence Gill officiating.  Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6-8 PM Wednesday, 1-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday and 11 AM until time of service Friday.  Those desiring may make contributions to Brian's House.  Ike was born July 19, 1925 in Lachine, the son of Joseph and Grace (Allen) Amlotte.  He had resided in Flint since 1948 coming from Lachine.  He married Aldine Marilene Chapman March 24, 1962 in Flint and she preceded him in death February 26, 2003.  He retired from GM Manufacturing in 1981 after 33 years of service.  He was a member of U.A.W. Local 659 and attended Swartz Creek Church of the Nazarene.  He truly enjoyed his family and friends.  Surviving are:  2 daughters, Patricia and husband Terry Schneider of Swartz Creek, LaWanda and husband Jimmy Phillips of Las Vegas, NV; 4 grandchildren, Timothy and wife Tammy Schneider of Swartz Creek, Troy and wife Jenifer Schneider of Tampa, FL, Jered and wife Julie Phillips of Chino, CA, Marya and husband Dustin Black of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; 8 great grandchildren, Kaylie, Amanda, Bethany and Mary Schneider, Joy and Chad Phillips, Katelyn and Alison Black; 2 brothers, Voyle 'Olie' and wife Virginia Amlotte, Alvin and wife Arlene Amlotte; sister, Nina VanSipe all of Lachine; many nieces and nephews.  He was also preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Thomas and Victor Amlotte, brother-in-law, Lyle VanSipe.
