SCHROEDER, Irvin F. - Age 102 of Fenton, died March 9, 2015. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, March 16, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Burial will be 3 PM at St. Augustine Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Sunday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, with a prayer service at 7 PM and from 10 AM until the time of Mass Monday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to St. John Educational Foundation or IHM Sisters Retirement Fund. Irvin was born April 24, 1912 in Chicago, the son of Frank and Amelia (Cholger) Schroeder. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and was on the original committee to build St. John School. He was an excellent golfer, master toolmaker and a lifetime member of Tyrone Hills. Irvin was the most wonderful husband, father and family man. Surviving are his children, Pat (Karen) Schroeder, Sister Loretta Schroeder, IHM, Margaret (Jim) Bacon, John (Bonnie) Schroeder, Jane (Ron) Wingblad, Mary (Errol) Remsing, Michael (Robin) Schroeder, Tom (Maggie) Schroeder; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and a great great-granddaughter; sister-in-law, Dorothy Lepczyk; numerous nieces and nephews.
