Irma Sims

SIMS,Irma  K., age 75 of Richfied Twp., died Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at home.  She was born June 21, 1931 in Frankfort, Germany.  She married William Sims on October 4, 1956.  Mrs. Sims had been active in past years in City of Burton politics.  She had served on the city zoning board.  She was awarded a Congressional Certificate of merit for outstanding community service and also received an appreciation award from the G.C.C.A.A. for service in the Burton Area Action Council #5.  Mrs. Sims is survived by her husband, William, a sister Margaret Elter in Germany and several nieces and nephews.  Cremation rites have taken place at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Grand Blanc Twp.
