HETHERINGTON-WHITE, Irene Blanche - Age 87, of Alger formerly of Flint, died Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Bortz Health Care, West Branch. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 6-8 PM and Monday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association. Irene was born March 24, 1922 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Frank and Leah Rose (Renauld) Couture. She married Albert Hetherington and he preceded her in death, she than married Frank White and he preceded her in death. She was a member of the Foresters and the Rebekah's. Surviving are: 2 sons, James and wife Darlene Hetherington of Flint and Richard and wife Patricia Hetherington of Texas; 8 grandchildren; brother, Joseph Couture of Lennon; 2 sisters, Constance Nicholas of Vanderbilt and Jeanette Fifield of West Branch; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Alda Wheeler and Theresa Sherman; 2 brothers, Raymond and Roger Couture.
