GORBUTT, Irene Ruth - Age 86, of Lennon, Michigan, died March 13, 2016. Funeral services will be held 11AM, Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Swartz Creek Church of the Nazarene 7168 Morrish Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Lawrence Gill officiating. Visitation will be held 2PM to 8PM Wednesday March 16 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice. Irene was born January 28, 1930 in Troy, Michigan the daughter of the late Charles and Geneva (Chapman) Wamsley. She married Donald G. Gorbutt on December 26, 1948 in Flint and he preceded her in death in 1997. She enjoyed collecting many things, music and traveling with her husband Donald. Surviving are: children, Elaine (Gary) LeMiere, Christine Mosher, Donald G. Gorbutt II; grandchildren, Kirt Snooks, Renee Kotila, Tracy Douthard, Wendy Walters, Marie Yafawi, Donald G. Gorbutt III; 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 5 brothers and sisters. Tributes may be posted online at sharpfuneralhomes.com.
