GILBERT, Irene Joyce - Age 74, of Grand Blanc, died June 6, 2016. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Friday. Those desiring may make contributions to Parkinson's Foundation or American Diabetes Association. Irene was born December 13, 1941 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Floyd and Frances Jones. Irene was married to Ronald Gilbert on July 8, 1960 in Stanton. She enjoyed quilting and knitting. She is survived by her husband, Ronald; children, Connie Nichols, Jill Gilbert and Ricky Gilbert; grandchildren, Holly Jenkins, Thomas Gilbert, Christopher Gilbert and Kenneth Jinks; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Diane, Linda and Mary; brothers, David and Don; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Andrea Terry and sister, Carol. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Regency of Grand Blanc.
