Ione Cash

CASH, Ione B. (Cook) - Age 89, of Flint, died Friday, June 17, 2022.  Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (A live stream of the service will be available on Ione's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com).  Pastor Jim McLeod officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday, July 24, 2022 from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.  Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.

Ione was born June 9, 1933 in Sterling, the daughter of Bernard Clark and Anna Luella (Bryan) Cook.  She was a 1951 graduate of Sterling High School.  She married Robert Lee Cash December 24, 1955 in Standish and he preceded her in death July 13, 2021.  She had resided in Flint for the past 30 years coming from Fenton and Grand Blanc.  Ione enjoyed bowling, quilting, knitting, sewing, and dancing.

Surviving are: her son, Russell (Pam) Cash of Sandusky; daughter, Rebecca (Ken) Cover of Saint Clair Shores; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; sister, Bernadine LaLonde of Standish; brother, Joseph (Karen) Cook of Sterling; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Robert Metford Cash; infant daughter, Brenda Kay Cash; brother, Harold Cook; and sisters, Lois Gutherie and Oleda Tilly.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
