Ildege Dery

DERY, Ildege - age 101, of Gaines, MI died Sunday, February 23, 2025 at his residence. The family will gather privately from 2-3 PM Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden with Funeral Services to follow at Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Dery was born May 8, 1923 in Grand Mere, Quebec, Canada, the son of Severin and Eva Dery. He married Yvette Castonguay on October 19, 1946. Surviving are: seven children, Pierre Dery of Gaines, Normand Dery of GA, Jocelyne (Ric Heft) Dery of Whitehall, Marjolaine (Henry) Purdy of Flushing, Louise (Doug March) Gresock of FL, Louis (Christine Giguere) Dery, Jean-Claude Dery, both of Canada, son-in-law Ron Holbrook of Gaines; daughter-in-law, Debbie Dery of TN; 25 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Yvette, son, Alain and daughter, Claudette; and all his siblings. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
