GUERRA, Ignacio "Nacho" M., age 94 of Flint, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2023. A funeral mass will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church located at 2316 W. Coldwater Road, Flint, Michigan. Visitation will be from 2:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, June 2, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center at 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc with a rosary at 6:00 PM Friday. There will also be visitation from 10:00 AM Saturday, until the time of service, at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses. He is survived by his children, Rebecca (Miguel) Roque of Seguin, TX; Andrew (Tina) Guerra of Vance, AL; Dolores Herrera of Columbus, OH; Robert (Danette) Guerra of Flint; Ignacio (Sandra) Guerra of Davison; Julio (Kerri) Luna of Dayton, TN and James (Leah) Guerra of Columbus, OH. Nacho was blessed to leave behind a legacy of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Sister, Juliana Acheson of Burkburnett, TX and several nieces and nephews also survive. Ignacio Montoya Guerra was born on February 1, 1929 in Seguin, Texas to the late Felipe and Juanita (Montoya) Guerra. He served our country during the Korean War with the United States Army and was married for over 60 years to his late wife, Dolores. Mr. Guerra was a longtime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, he called Flint his home for over 70 years and worked as a bus driver for the Dukette Catholic School System. He enjoyed traveling, listening to Mexican music, watching westerns, going to church and he cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. Mr. Guerra was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, David R.; grandchildren, Jose, Hope and Lydia; and son-in-law, Arthur Herrera.
