Ida Stayt

STAYT, Ida M. - age 87, of Linden, died Sunday, August 18, 2019. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Friday, August 23, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton with Pastor Jeff Jaggers officiating. Interment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday and 1-2 PM Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Alzheimer's Association. Ida was born October 27, 1931 in Flint, the daughter of Wilford and Gladys (Drew) Harvey. She was a 1949 graduate of Dye High School and married Floyd J. Stayt on August 25, 1951. She was a member of Fenton United Methodist Church where she was the head of the Faith Circle. Ida enjoyed her family, traveling, crocheting, baking and cooking for her family. Surviving are: husband, Floyd of Linden; five children, Sandra (Alvin) Jones of Flint, Kenneth Stayt of Fenton, Judith (Steve) Finch of Arizona, Rebecca Jeffers of Fenton and Alan (Hyon Ju) Stayt of Saudia Arabia; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Edmund (Mabel) Harvey; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents; two sisters, Joyce Laird and Jean Coselman; and daughter-in-law, Shelley Stayt; great-grandson, Austin Jeffers.
