Bolt, Hugo W. "Hugh" -- Age 77, of Davison, died January 10, 2018. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Monday January 15 at Sharp Funeral Home Miller Rd. Chapel 8138 Miller Rd. Swartz Creek. Burial will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 Belford Rd. Holly. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home, with a 7 PM Masonic service. Hugh was born April 1, 1940 in Gadsden, AL, the son of Shelley and Theodosha "Betty" (Greenhaw) Bolt. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp serving in the Cuban Missile Crisis. Hugh attended GMI, Mott Community College, and U of M Flint. He retired from GM. Hugh was an elected UAW Union Representative with Local #659. He was also a member of the Masonic Fellowship Lodge 236 (formerly Davison Lodge), and a former member of the Holly Lodge. Hugh was also a 33rd Degree Mason and a Knights Templar Guard. He enjoyed sailing and carpentry. Hugh is survived by 2 children, Kimberlee (Michael Cherry) Bolt-Cherry from Omaha, NE., Shell Clarke Bolt also of Omaha, NE.; grandchildren, Raelyn Rose Cherry, Mariel (Bryan Scharch) Bolt-Scharch; 2 great-grandchildren, Michael "Mikah" and Mariella Scharch; former wife, Mary Ellen Riley- Bolt; step-children, Dawn (BJ) Scott, and Jay Scott; step grandchildren, Kassandra, Bryanna, Nicole, Adam and Christopher; sisters, Lilly-Arnette Nail, Betty (David) Locke; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise K. Bolt; and daughter-in-law, Lydia Bolt. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
