CLARK, Hugh, Russell Jr., age 79, of Grand Blanc, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Genesys Hospice Care Center. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Memorial donations may be made to Camp Tapico, 2408 Camp Tapico Rd NE, Kalkaska, MI 49646-9582 for a Tree House in Memory of Hugh R. Clark, Jr. No formal funeral services will follow visitation and burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery will take place in the spring. Hugh was born April 30, 1931 in Flint the son of the late Hugh Russell Sr. and Catherine Aletha (Huot) Clark. He graduate from St. Michaels High School and later General Motors Institute. Hugh married Hope Israel on June 10, 1961 in Burton and they were lifelong Flint residents. He served in the U.S. Army as a Corporal during the Korean War. Hugh was employed by A.C. General Motors as a Die Maker for 47 years until his retirement in 1996. He was a Scoutmaster for 25 years with the 76 Eagle Scouts and a member of Tall Pine Council. In addition, he was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th Degrees. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Hope; two sons, Hugh Russell Clark III of Fenton, Stewart Clark of Grand Blanc; two grandchildren, Spencer and Lauren; two sisters, Marjorie Travis of Holly, Barbara Campbell (Robert) of Grand Blanc.
