PFC E3 Howard D. Modders, March 13, 1958 - September 8, 2024 - of Holly and Montrose, Michigan passed away peacefully with his stepson Jimmy Morrow by his side. 

Howard was born in Flint, Michigan to Dale H. Modders and Sheila Ann Mead. He graduated from Fenton High School in 1976. Howard served in the Marine Corps for 4 years between 29 Palms California, Guam, and Australia. 

He enjoyed spending time with his stepson and his wife Sara and family. Howard enjoyed going to hard rock concerts, movies, computer games, tinkering on cars, and he sure loved his Harley motorcycles. He also loved spending time with his dad, Dale and sister, Cathy, especially during the holidays. A very special thanks to Jimmy and Sara for being so special and caring to our brother and for his well being. Howard worked at Chevrolet and then went to work at Warren Truck Assembly Plant/WTAP Chrysler for 20+ years. 

Surviving are: his stepson, Jimmy Morrow and wife Sara; sisters, Cathy Modders and Deanna McDowell; father, Dale H. Modders; step-sisters, Cathy Jagos, Fran Schmuck, Mary Link; step-brothers, Louie Helms, Mike Helms, Mark Helms, and Tim Helms. He was preceded in death by: his mother, Sheila Ann Mead; aunt, Sharon Rogers; cousins, Mike and Robert Rogers; grandma, Laura Modders; and grandpa, Miles H. Mead. 

Per Howard's wishes, cremation has taken place, and his final resting place will be 1 PM Tuesday, October 22, 2024 Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
