Howard George Holsinger, Jr.

HOLSINGER, Howard George, Jr. - Age 81, of Fenton passed away Thursday October 17, 2024 after a 20 year battle with Parkinson's. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday, October 21, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Fenton (The Mass will be live streamed and can be viewed directly below Howard's obituary here on this page). Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Burial at a later date in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held at the church Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. Howard was born May 3, 1943 in Flint, the son of Howard George, Sr. and Irma (Sullivan) Holsinger. He was a 1961 graduate of Flint Central High School. He married Ileen Theresa Jankowski August 10, 1984 in the Stone Church at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Howard had resided in Fenton for the past 40 years coming from Otisville. He retired from GM Metal Fab. after 43 years of service. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and U.A.W. Local #659. He enjoyed hunting, walleye fishing, sprint car racing, riding bicycles and watching Nascar (He never missed a race). 

Surviving are; his wife, Ileen; children, James Holsinger of Grand Blanc, Tara Shreve of Clio, Philip Webster of Caseville, Judith Steyer of Grand Blanc and Theresa Webster of Fenton; granddaughters, Alanna, Danielle, Mikayla, Jennifer, Hope and Gabrielle; 7 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Irma Holsinger; son, Thomas Holsinger; grandson, Joshua Webster; brother, Philip Holsinger; and his hunting partner, Glen Pieczynski. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
