BOILLAT, Howard Junior - Age 92, of Swartz Creek, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at his home. Reunited with his wife Josephine and family. Funeral services will be held 11AM Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 6273 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor David Boillat and Pastor Aaron Whitman officiating.Interment in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Wednesday from 2-4PM and 6-8PM where a Masonic service will be held at 7PM; and at church Thursday from 10AM until time of service. Contributions may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church and Southern Care Hospice. Howard was born December 12, 1925 in Northville, the son of Howard Lee and Mary Ellen (Pickard) Boillat. He married Josephine E. Withey February 27, 1951 in Angola, IN and she preceded him in death March 29, 2011. They had celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Howard spent many years growing up in Byron, after leaving Northville and Novi at age of four. He lived in Swartz Creek most of his married life except for seven years in Indianapolis, IN. He loved the Lord and was looking so forward to his homecoming with Josephine, family members and friends. He was a Master Mason and a member of the Byron Masonic Lodge #80 F.& A.M. for 67 years. He was a member of Teamsters 332 since the 1950's. He hauled a Lincoln yellow car for Dwight Eisenhower in 1956. He loved his trucking and farmall tractor. He retired from the Teamsters Local #135 after 38 years of service. He enjoyed walking at the Genesee Valley Mall and rollerskating at Rollhaven. He was a member of Cornerstone for 28 years. Surviving are children, Harry Lee (Gail), Diane Budai, Ronda (Bud) Bickell, Warrant Officer Phillip (Karen) Boillat, Marie (Bill) Stebbins, Mark(Vicky) Boillat, Timothy(Samantha), Roxanne Wilson, special daughter Vickie Colpean; 20 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several great-greats; sister-in-law Doris; many nieces and nephews. Howard was preceded in death by son; James Boillat; great grandson, Douglas Woodruff; two brothers, Elmer and Harold; sister, Shirley. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
