BEERS, Homer Franklin - Age 81, Gaines, died Wednesday, December 30, 2015. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, January 8, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden. Burial will follow in Argentine Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Wednesday and 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Homer was born July 5, 1934 in Flint, the son of Otis and Margaret (Butzler) Beers. He lived his entire life in the Gaines area where he was a self-employed dairy farmer. Homer is survived by his daughter, Mary (Ed) Maldonado of Durand; son, John Beers of Gaines; granddaughter, Jamie (Justin) Ward of Swartz Creek; grandson, Jeremy Fagerstrom of Gaines; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Josephine and Jacob Ward; sisters, Leah Beers and Elsabeth Chojonwski.
