Herbert W. Tucker

TUCKER, Herbert W.  Age 78, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, February 10, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, with Rev. Carl Petty officiating. Interment will follow at Bendle Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-9 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Masonic Pathways in Alma. Mr. Tucker was born June 12, 1927 in Flint, the son of Ellis G. and Cora (Miller) Tucker. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. Mr. Tucker married Emma Jean Stanley on February 4, 1978 in Swartz Creek. He retired from McDonald Dairy in 1989 after 43 years of service. Mr. Tucker was a life member of Davison Lodge #236 F. & A.M. Surviving are: wife, Emma Jean Tucker of Swartz Creek; three sons, Tracy (Marcia) Tucker of Kalamazoo, Guy Wayne (Ann) Tucker of Lewiston, Tom G. Tucker of Traverse City; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Don (Shirley) Tucker of Davison; sister, Florence (Les) Keefer of West Branch; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; step-son, Steven A. Farra; granddaughter, Cora Tucker; brother, Willard Tucker.
