Herbert Gruenewald

Gruenewald, Herbert W. - Age 83, of Burton, went home to his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Wellbridge of Fenton. Services will be held 2:30 PM Saturday October 14, 2017 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church 5005 McClandish Rd. Grand Blanc .Light refreshments will be served after the service. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to Pauline McGraw. Herb was a donor to the Anatomical Donation Program at U of M Medical School. He was born October 6, 1933 in Detroit the son of William and Helen Gruenewald. Herb was educated in Lutheran schools in Detroit. He was in sales the majority of his working life, he enjoyed working several businesses on the computer, visits with his family and his active life with his church. After retiring he also enjoyed long walks with his big love, his lab Bubba. Herb is survived by his wife of 16 years: Pauline McGraw; children, Kim (Jim) Cromwell, Lyn (Chris) McDonough, Rob (Cindy) Gruenewald; step-daughter, Kelly (Steve) Adkins; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; seven step great-grandchildren; sister, Marge (Del) Morton; many nieces and nephews. Herb was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; sister, Lucille; brothers, Gordon and Harvey. Special thanks to neighbors Jeff Grimes, Pastor Bob and Belinda Magie; Attorney, Michael Thomas and Beth Ackley.
