BALDRIDGE, Herbert Jean "Herb", age 77, of Swartz Creek, passed away July 17, 2012 at Genesys Horpice Care Center, Goodrich. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Mr. Baldridge was born May 25, 1935 in Mattoon IL, the son of the late William Herbert Baldridge Jr. and Ivadean (Brummett) Baldridge. He married Katharine E. Wright in New Baltimore MI on June 13, 1980. Herb was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. He served his county in the USMC for 12 years, where he fought during the Vietnam War, earning a Purple Heart. Herb retired from the Michigan Air National Guard, Unit 127th TFW with 28 years of service. Surviving are his wife Katharine of Swartz Creek; daughter, Patrice (Kirk) Shaffer of TX; son, Marc Baldridge of TX; granddaughter, Brenna Baldridge; great-grandson, Bradley Baldridge; father and mother-in-law, Sam (Myra) Wright of Fenton; sister-in-law, Teresa(Claudio) Wright of Brighton; brother-in-law, Sam M. Wright of Flint; niece, Kelsey Irland-Wright of Flint and nephew Maxim Mostovoy of Brighton.
