Henry Overholt

Overholt, Henry Vail . (Red) - Age 97, of Flushing , passed away peacefully July 22 , 2019. Funeral services will be held 6  PM Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, our temporary location at Hill Creek Church, 5363 Hill Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 12-6 PM Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to Salvation Army. Henry was born June 8, 1922 in Flint, the son of Henry C. and Martha Elizabeth Overholt. Henry married the love of his life, Evelyn, February 14, 1948, in Flushing. He was an insurance agent at Allstate Insurance Co. for 24 years, and also a private pilot. Henry enjoyed, golfing, flying, building models and ice fishing. He was proud of being able to meet General Chuck Yeager. Most importantly, he loved being Papa. He will be dearly missed by all. He is survived by his only daughter, Carol (Robert) Morrow ; grandchildren, Brea (Jerome) Eaton and Brent (Jennifer) Morrow; great-grandchildren, Ashton Eaton, Xander Eaton, and Morgan Morrow; sister-in-law, Kathryn Hills;  good friend, Beth Hill.
