HABEREK, Henry Gerald - Age 87, of Redford, died Sunday, February 14, 2016. Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Holy Cross Lutheran Cross, 30650 Six Mile Road, Livonia. Pastor Krister Ulmanis officiating. Visitation will be held at church Saturday from 10 AM until the time of service. Contributions to Henry G. Haberek Memorial Fund. Henry was born October 5, 1928 in Detroit the son of Stanley and Mary (Gorecka) Haberek. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. He married Joanne May December 13, 1957 in Detroit and she preceded him in death January 16, 2005. Henry was employed by McLouth Steel. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, music, and movies. He had resided in Redford most of his life. Surviving are: daughters, Susan Sullivan of Redford and Sandy (Michael Thompson) Brandstatter of Livonia; grandsons, Mark Henry Brandstatter of Livonia and Brandon (Nicolette) Mazzacco of Livonia; and great granddaughter, Zoee Mazzacco.
