HORVATH, Henrietta A. - Age 93, of Flushing, died Friday, April 17, 2009 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 20, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, with Fr. Steven Mattson officiating. Burial immediately following at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 2-8 PM. Mrs. Horvath was born January 1, 1916 in Swartz Creek, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Pafka) Trubiro. She married Joseph C. Horvath October 5, 1940 and he preceded her in death April 11, 1984. She was the most wonderful mother to 2 sons Frank (Rosie) of Burton and John (Kathie) of Beloit, WI; 3 daughters Sharon (Spence) Sutherby of Swartz Creek, Nancy Horvath (Ed Pascoe) of Grand Blanc and Hope (Larry) Black of Flushing. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren Lori Horvath, Wendy (Kevin) Foltz, Julie Horvath, John M. Horvath, Tim Sutherby, Robynn (Rick) Reid, Rachel and Nicole Black; 6 great grandchildren; 2 sisters Ann Skrceny and Mildred Okenka; brother Joe (Irene) Trubiro of Swartz Creek; many nieces and nephews. The family appreciates the special friendship and help of neighbors Lora Henderson and Harry Smith. She loved listening to the Old Country Polka Time program every Sunday, enjoyed going to the casinos, going out to eat and especially being with her children. She was also preceded in death by her father in 1936, mother in 1960, sister Marion Kovarcik in 1987, brother Edward in 1999, sisters Irene Ocenasek in 2005 and Rosie Okenka in 2006.
