Henrietta Edna Fiori

Rita Fiori aka (Dusty's Mom) - age 86, of Fort Myers Beach Fl. went home to the Lord October 4, 2011 at Hospice do to complications from a fall. Rita was born in Toronto, Canada March 11, 1925. She grew up in Flint, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two sisters, three brothers and her grandson Daryl Horton. Surviving is her Daughter, Dusty Laurie aka (Carla Horton); son-in-law, Edward Laurie of Bonita Springs, Fl.; Son, Rick Horton, daughter-in-law Linda Horton of Flint, MI.; granddaughter, Amy Beardsley and great grandchildren, Autumn and Aaron Beardsley of Fenton, MI.; brother, Jack Wolfe and sister-in-law, Kathy Wolfe of FL; along with several nieces, nephews and special friends. Rita was a former member of New Calvary Presbyterian Church and Mundy Presbyterian Church in Rankin, MI. She served as an Elder, Deacon and Pulpit Supplier for many years. Rita also served on many church committees. Rita was known for opening the church, making coffee and greeting all who entered. She officiated many funerals, Rita was a devoted Christian. Rita married her second husband and moved to California to manage apartment complexes. Upon her husband's passing Rita returned to Michigan and helped her daughter manage "Dusty's Hair Studio" for many years. Rita will be missed very much by her family and friends both in Florida and Michigan. Rita was a caregiver who loved to help others in need. Rita loved to do the Lords work and always with a smile. Memorial Services will be held Sunday, December 4th at 3:00pm at the Mundy Presbyterian Church, 3506 West Grand Blanc Road, Swartz Creek.
