Helen A. Wirth, age 101, passed away Sunday, February 12. Helen was born in Bay City, Michigan, on September 3, 1915, the daughter of Claud and Mabel Bowers (Peck). She graduated from Bay City Central High School in 1933 and married her high school sweetheart Louis F. Wirth, Jr., on January 1, 1936, at the First Methodist Church in Bay City. Helen and Louis were married 77 years, until his passing in 2013. Truly in love to the very end. The couple lived in Midland, Michigan, for 40 years, and were members of the First United Methodist Church. Helen often accompanied Louis on his business travels as far away as Australia, Japan and Taiwan. Following Louis' death, Helen moved to Vicinia Gardens in Fenton, Michigan, where her life was enriched by the Vicinia staff, residents and her special caregivers Cindy Holzer and Cheri Ducsay. Helen had an extraordinary gift of making everyone she knew feel special, loved and beautiful, often using her hallmark phrase, "Bless your little heart." Helen is survived by daughter Janis Kay Bock (Cal) of Linden, Mich.; son Donald Louis (Linda) of Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren Carol Dolata (Randy), Kristyn Godlew (Mark) and Jeremy Wirth (Kristy); great-grandchildren David, Kate (Chris), Joe, Jenny and Mae; special niece Karen Zipser; sister-in-law Phyllis Wirth and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place.
