Helen Ruth Standerfer

STANDERFER, Helen Ruth - Age 72, of Gaines, died Saturday, October 11, 2003 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the family. Helen was born February 21, 1931 in Gladwin, the daughter of Anthony and Anna (Kerchoff) Banchoff. She was married to James K. Standerfer on October 27, 1954 in Flint; he preceded her in death on July 27, 1996. Surviving are: daughter, Judy and husband John Hoenicke of Fenton; two grandchildren, Lori and husband Todd Jagielski of Fenton, Raymond K. Hoenicke of Fenton; three great-grandchildren, Cody and Bryce Jagielski, Emily Hoenicke; sister, Ann and husband John Plontuf of California; brother, Tom and wife Donna Banchoff of Gladwin; many nieces and nephews; very close friends, Doug and Sandy Page. Mrs. Standerfer was also preceded in death by four brothers, Steve, Mike, Nick and Pete Banchoff; two sisters, Olga and Liz.
