SHERRIFF, Helen Retta - Age 88, of Fenton, died Thursday, October 15, 2010. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Those desiring may make contributions to the V.F.W. National Home. Mrs. Sherriff was born February 1, 1922 in Cardwell, MO, the daughter of Gladyes Eiden and Margaret Ann (McCune) Tolley. She had been employed at Crestmont Nursing Care Facility for 15 years as an Nurses Aide. She has resided in Fenton most of her life. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodich. Surviving are: 5 children, Jimmy R. Walraven of Apollo Beach, FL, Larry D. Walraven of Fenton, Jeffrey E. Walraven of New Orleans, LA, Eddie L. Walraven of Flint and Margaret and husband Dan Doblor of Fenton; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Wolford; granddaughter, Tabitha Wolford; grandson, Jimmy Walraven, Jr.; 3 sisters, Maude Hayes, Irene Hart and Florence Thornton.
