Helen Louise Saxon

SAXON, Helen Louise (Fultner) - Age 86, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, November 4 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held at the funeral homes from 6-8 PM Thursday, 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society. Mrs. Saxon was born on May 11, 1920 in Oklahoma, the daughter of John and Ola (Lands) Fultner. She graduated from Flint Central High School in 1937. She married John H. Saxon on December 4, 1945 in Angola, IN. She was employed by Merchants and Mechanics Bank in Flint during the 50s and 60s, then was employed by and retired from Detroit and Northern Savings and Loan. She was a life member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Chapter One and the D.A.V. Auxiliary.  Survivng are daughter, Patricia Shoens of Flint; grandchildren, Daniel Shoens of Flint, Lisa Shoens of Flint, Danette and husband Al Badour of Au Gres, Sean Guza of IL, David Guza of IL; great-grandchildren, Sareena Svanberg, William Badour, Jacob Shoens, Jordan Shoens, and Jared Smith; great-great-grandchildren, Gavin and Ava Svanberg; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; daughter Sharon Guza; great-grandson Joshua; and brothers and sisters.
