PENCE, Helen Mae - age 79 of Durand, died Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Friday and 11 AM until the time of service Saturday. Mrs. Pence was born July 18, 1932 in Mundy Township, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Hilda (Carlson) Drake. She cooked and waitressed for 20 years at Herrick's. She worked at the Durand VFW Bingo Hall for 40 years. Helen is survived by 6 sons, Bob Waterman, Frank Waterman, Dennis Waterman, Brian Pence, Steve Waterman and Bill Waterman; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Marie.
