Helen Ouellette

OUELLETTE, Helen Louise - age 94, of Fenton, died Sunday, November 17, 2019. Helen was born July 28, 1925 in St. Johns, MI the daughter of Edward and Margaret (Kuripla) Light. She married Dean C. Ouellette in 1945. Helen graduated from Mercy School of Nursing and was a registered nurse. She was very involved in the United Methodist Church all her life. She lived her Christian faith daily. She loved Jesus and her life was a testimony of that.  Helen loved everyone and never had a cross word for anyone. Surviving are: four children, Dean (Dianne) Ouellette, Jr., Karen (Rick) Rockman, Steve Ouellette, and Bob Ouellette; 11 grandchildren, Melissa Evans, Cheryl (Bryan) Harper, Rick Rockman III, Stacey (Rick) Ankney, Randy (Janice) Rockman, Jacob (Hannah) Ouellette, Maria (Steve) Steckroth, Christina (Chris) Lathrop, Alyssa Friday, Nathan Friday, and Brenna Correll; 24 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; brother, Eddie Light; sister-in-law, Janet (Gary) Light. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Dean Ouellette and son, David Ouellette, both U.S. Navy veterans, sister, Irene and brothers Jim and Gary.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
