Helen Louise LAVENE

LAVENE, Helen Louise - age 97, died Monday, March 12, 2012 at Crestmont Health Care. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Thursday, March 15, 2012 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St. Fenton with Rev. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will also be held 9:30 AM Thursday until the time of service at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Mrs. Lavene was born November 14, 1914 in Flint, the daughter of Harry and Helen Elizabeth (Luce) Morgan. She married Frank C. Lavene in October 1942 and he preceded her in death in November 1973. Mrs. Lavene had worked at Detroit and Northern and Buick Motor Division. She was an active member and volunteer of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church for many years. Her daughter, Nancy Cole, also preceded her in death. She is survived by: son, Ronald (Sharon) Lavene; son-in-law, Charles Cole; grandchildren, Scott Cole, Ryan and Danya Lavene; brother, Richard (Sue) Morgan; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Kathy Vhr and Sister Rita Ann.
