KOVALCSIK, Helen M. -- Age 94, died June 18, 2015 at Heritage Hill Assisted Living Facility in Caro. Committal services will be 12:30 PM Monday, June 22 at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held 10 AM - 12 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swart Creek. Followed by procession to the cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to the charity of their choice. Helen was born October 8, 1920 in Flint, the daughter of Steven and Julia (Bohus) Makranyi. Helen graduated from Flint Northern High School. She married Frank Kovalcsik in Flint on March 19, 1944; he preceded her in death in 1990. They lived in Flint for many years before moving to Florida. She was an avid bowler, and also loved to crochet. She is survived by 5 children, Joann Payne of Swartz Creek, Frank Jr. (Tina) of Grand Rapids, Philip (Sharon) of Greenville, TN, Timothy of Caro, Theresa (Dave) Badgley of Orlando, FL; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
