HUBER, Helen Janet  Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, age 88, of Linden, died Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at Oliver Woods Retirement Home in Owosso. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Friday, December 1, 2006 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 402 S. Ballenger Highway in Flint with Pastor Steven Maske officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek, MI. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church. Mrs. Huber was born October 5, 1918 in Cleveland, the daughter of Stanley and Stella Kuzawa. She was a 1936 graduate of Flint Northern High School and received her bachelors degree from Michigan State Normal College. She went on to teach two years in a one room school house in Flushing. She then worked at AC Spark Plug for 15 years where she met her husband, Helmuth H. Huber. They were married September 25, 1943 and he preceded her in death on August 25, 2001. Mrs. Huber received a MS Degree from Eastern Michigan University and taught at Lake Fenton Schools and Carmen Ainsworth Schools from where she retired. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church for over 60 years. She loved the Lord Jesus and put her faith in Him. Surviving are: three sons, Jeffrey H. Huber and wife, Marlene of Durand, Gerald A. Huber and wife, Doris of Gaines, David H. Huber of Dunbar, W. VA; four grandchildren, Chad J. Huber, Cathy and husband Chris Hallenbeck, Stephen J. Huber and wife, Sarah, Laura and husband, Todd Riker; two great grandchildren, Michaela Beth Huber and Jacob C. Hallenbeck; and five sisters, Virginia Newton, Stash Kovalcik, Josephine Yancho, Clara Burke and Janet Hoffman. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
