DURKEE, Helen Louise - age 82, of Fenton, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Avalon Hospice. Services will be held 2 PM Monday, March 12, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint with Rev. Joyce Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 12-2 PM Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Durkee was born August 4, 1929 in Flint, the daughter of John and Susan (Yastco) Marzoni. She married Earl Durkee on August 26, 1950 in Flint, he preceded her in death on September 1, 1990. Mrs. Durkee had worked at Value City and enjoyed spending time with family, friends and camping. Surviving are: two daughters, Paula (Robert) Croxson of Swartz Creek, Pamela (Gerald) Haynor of Fenton; five grandchildren, David (Misty) Emmert, Sarah (Jason) Dasky, Shawn (Tia) Gallagher and Annette Croxson; two great-granddaughters; two sisters, Evelyn Trudell and Annette (Jim) Jones, special friends, Stella and Bob Shannon.
