BARTES, Helen M. (Hunt) -- Age 87, of Birch Run, formerly of Swartz Creek, died August 12, 2012 at McLaren-Flint. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Thursday, August 16 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Wednesday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association. Helen was born December 21, 1924 in Lapeer the daughter of Bailey and Verna (Streu) Hunt. Surviving are: two children, Dennis Bartes and wife Anne of Swartz Creek, Kathy and husband Jack Carmode of Birch Run; twelve grandchildren; twenty seven great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; brother Wesley Hunt of Mt. Morris; sister Barbara Osborne of Rose City; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Willard; son Alan; and sister Joyce Goodman.
