MILLER, Hazel Cherry- Age 90, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday February 25, 2021. Funeral services will be held 12PM Saturday February 27, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Tara Sutton Officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10AM until time of service Saturday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society or Adopt A Pet. Hazel was born March 9, 1930 in Altus, Oklahoma, the daughter of George and Rettie Mae (Warren) Lewis. She married Donald Miller on July 9, 1949 in Flint and he preceded her in death on May 5, 1986. Hazel was the worlds best mom, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, bingo, and going to garage sales. She was a member of Mundy United Methodist Church and a very active member of Swartz Creek and Linden Senior Centers for many years. Surviving are: daughters, Susan (Roger) Young and Teresa Miller both of Swartz Creek; granddaughter, Jamie (Ken) Shook; great grandsons, Lars Miller, Gabriel Shook; sister-in-laws, Billie Lewis, Thelma Lewis, Nera Lewis all of TX. She is also survived by special nieces Janet and Nancy; several nieces and nephews and very special friends Carolyn Small and David Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her parents, George and Rettie Lewis; son, Dale and his wife Barbara Miller; brothers, Eldridge, Maxie, Gerald, Forrest, John Lewis and sister Maxine Cummings.
